Für Y muss mal ein Nachname hinhalten. Dana Younkins ist nicht eng mit der Szene verbunden. "Dana hardly ever went to meetings, and socially she was more ingrained in Evergreen's lesbian scene. (While most of the riot grrrls considered themselves bisexual, and some did occasionally date girls, the campus lesbians considered the Riot Grrrl thing to straight for them.)" (In: Sara Marcus: Girls To The Front. The True Story Of The Riot Grrrl Revolution (2010): 131). Trotzdem produziert Dana vier Folgen der TV-Show "The Riot Grrrl Variety Show" für eines ihrer Uni-Projekte.
Für die Show steht weniger die Komponente Riot Grrrl im Vordergrund, sondern eher der Show-Charakter. "Dana threw together separately produced segments and in-studio musical performances, and she would appear at the beginning and the end of each episode wearing enormous sunglasses, flashy earrings, some outlandish off-the shoulder tent of a dress, and a zany wig" (ebd.) Die Show läuft im April und im Mai 1992. Themen sind unter anderem lesbischer Safer Sex, Selbstverteidigungstraining, eine Lesben-Dating-Show und eine Gameshow zur Frauengeschichte. Hier nimmt auch Molly Neuman von Bratmobile teil. Während der Sendungen treten unter anderem Heavens to Betsy und Cuntz with Attitude auf und es gibt auch eine Vegan Cooking Show.
Leider ist nichts von der Show im Netz zu finden. Sara Marcus weiß, warum: "Dana Younkins was the only one who had tapes of the public-access television show" (Girls To The Front. The True Story Of The Riot Grrrl Revolution (2010): 231). Schade.
